I create engaging learning experiences.

My passion is learning. My goal is to help others find that joy. To achieve this I create comprehensive learning experiences that flow together and mimic work. I design learning that is brain-based, follows principles of adult learning, and incorporates as much fun as possible. I want to continue work in learning and development and hone in on developing large-scale learning journeys and evidence-based programs.

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn”
Benjamin Franklin

I incorporate this idea into everything I create. Learners are busy and don’t have time for training that doesn’t produce results. I believe that the best way to share knowledge is by involving learners every step of the way.

A little about me

  • I started my career focused on public policy. With a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Social Work under my belt, I was ready to tackle the world. I took a job training State workers on public assistance policy. What I didn’t know was that I was setting myself down an entirely new path.

After leaving that job to move south I took a strictly policy-driven role. I quickly realized that what I truly loved was helping people make sense of information. It was then that I rediscovered my passion for learning and took on a new challenge as an instructional designer.

  • I am a Learning Experience Designer for a global Fortune 500 company. My role has me conducting in depth analyses, creating blended learning experiences, and helping business partners identify new areas for growth.

When I’m not helping customers, I’m looking for ways to help my L&D team grow. In this role, I’ve found a passion for process improvement and big picture thinking.

I am constantly learning and hope to help others do the same.

  • Enough business, here are a few things that bring me joy: traveling (anywhere and everywhere), my cat, bird watching, puzzles, house projects, crafts, and food (for proof, see the image above).
